Privacy, in plain language

Short version: no ads, no ID, nothing sold. If you say yes to the cookie, I remember that you've been here before. Everything else is counted as anonymous totals, and you can change that below.

What's counted for everyone

Unless you pick “Nothing at all”, each page sends a few small events:

• a page was opened
• a contact link was clicked: which one, and where on the page
• a part of the page came into view
• the pixel twin was grabbed, and roughly how many times it was thrown
• hand control was turned on
• when you leave a page: if you played with the twin, clicked contact, and how far you got
• your privacy answer, when you give or change it

Each one also says which page it's from and which site sent you here (just its name, or the utm_source tag on a link I shared). Nothing else is read from the address. My server (on Cloudflare) adds your country and device type (phone, tablet or computer). It never keeps your IP address or browser details, and skips bots.

Nothing links one event to another. I see totals only. Each event is kept for 3 months. Daily totals stay longer.

What's saved on your device

Small notes in your browser, on this device only:

• your theme (light, dark or darker)
• your sound volume (off means muted)
• that you've seen the sound hints, so they show once
• your privacy answer, so I don't ask again
• a visit counter, only if you said yes: a number and when you were last here. Events then say if this is visit 1, 2, 3 or 4+.

I call it a cookie. Technically it's a small note saved in your browser, not a browser cookie, and it holds only a visit number and when you were last here.

Theme, volume and hints never leave your device. Clearing this site's data removes all of it.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

I also use Cloudflare Web Analytics for page views, where visitors come from, their country, browser and device type, and how fast pages load. It sets no cookies and doesn't fingerprint you. Its script loads from static.cloudflareinsights.com and sends its counts to Cloudflare. It doesn't load if you pick “Nothing at all”.

Changes save right away. Until you pick, it's anonymous totals only. “Nothing at all” sends that one answer, then stops. Cloudflare's script, if already on this page, stops from the next one. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, nothing is counted.

Who sees it

Only me, as totals. Cloudflare hosts this site and stores these counts for me. Never sold or shared.

The camera (opt-in, off by default)

On desktop you can turn on your camera and grab the pixel twin with your hand. It's off unless you switch it on. Hand tracking runs on your device: no video, image or hand position is ever sent anywhere. Turning it on downloads the tracking code from cdn.jsdelivr.net and a model file from storage.googleapis.com. Turning it off stops the camera.

Fonts & assets

Fonts, images and video are hosted here. The only outside files are Cloudflare's script and the hand-tracking files above.

Contact links open your own mail app, phone, WhatsApp, or my booking page on Notion. LinkedIn, Threads and X open their own sites. I only see what you choose to send me.
